SUMMARY:Prince Lot Hula Festival
DESCRIPTION:Held each third Saturday in July over the past three decad
 es, the Prince Lot Hula Festival has grown into the largest non-compet
 itive hula festival in the Hawaii. Each year the festival welcomes kum
 u hula and their halau from throughout the islands. Events include a n
 ew special presentation of traditional Hawaiian Lua, a martial arts ex
 hibit and demonstration.\n\nThroughout the day Hawaiian food and refre
 shments are available including the islands’ popular plate lunches, 
 sandwiches, shave ice and soft drinks.\n\nPrince Lot Hula Festival t-s
 hirts and souvenir buttons are on sale. Proceeds from merchandise and 
 membership sales benefit MGF programs.\n\nEntrance is by Prince Lot Hu
 la Festival buttons at the gate. The buttons are available for $5 dona
 tion to MGF. Local residents, military and visitors are welcome and en
 couraged to bring their own beach chairs and mats and enjoy the fun, f
 ood and festivities under the shady monkey pod trees of Moanalua Garde
