Ka wai nui Marsh
The state's largest wetland. Walk along the walkway and observe all sorts of birds and ducks. Quiet and peaceful in the early morning. The mountains in the background are truly added beauty. Well worth the trip. Off the beaten path! >Read more

Mount Olomana
Olomana, referred to by some as Hawaii's version of the Matterhorn, is one of windward Oahu's unmistakable landmarks. The trail up Olomana begins along an access road leading to the Luana Hills Golf Course in Maunawili Valley. >Read more

Lanikai Beach
A beach that's secluded, clear and blue and two beautiful, offshore island known as the Mokuluas, add to the tropical atmosphere of the area. Access is only available by a public access walkways. >Read more

Kailua Beach Park
Voted by Conde Nast publications one of the best beaches in America. With 2 ½ miles of beautiful white sand, turquoise waters, and lots of shade it's easy to see why. As you face the ocean, offshore there is Flat Island, otherwise known as Popoia Island, and further to the right can be seen the twin Mokulua islands. Turn away from the beach and there are the majestic Ko’oalau mountains that make up the skyline of windward Oahu. >Read more

The Mokuluas
Nā Mokulua (meaning, in Hawaiian, "the two islands") are two islets off our windward coast. They are also commonly known as "The Mokes" or the "Twin Islands". The islets are located a short distance off Lanikai Beach. The larger island is Moku Nui and the smaller, Moku Iki. They are State bird sanctuaries, access is by boat (kayaks are popular), one of the islands contains a "canyon" and a black sand beach. >Read more

Sea Life Park
Sea Life Park features an enormous 300,000-gallon aquarium filled with sea turtles, eels, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks and thousands of colorful reef fish. The park also has a penguin habitat, a turtle lagoon with green sea turtles, and a seabird sanctuary that holds red-footed boobies, albatrosses and great frigate birds. >Read more

Makapuu Lighthouse
Makapu'u Lighthouse is one of Hawaii's most familiar landmarks commanding a spectacular view of the Windward side of O'ahu. The lighthouse was built in 1909. A 2-mile paved trail leads to the lighthouse and a fantastic view of the entire coastline and the island of Molokai in the distance. >Read more

Lanikai Pillbox Hike
An amazing hike up Ka’iwa Ridge in Lanikai. Two pill-boxes, built by the U.S. military during the early days of World War II, are located on the highest parts of the ridge. From the pillboxes you can see the entire Windward side of the island, from the lighthouse at Makapu’u Point past Waimanalo to Chinaman’s Hat near Ka’a’awa on the other side of Kaneohe Bay. >Read more
