Hui o Ko'olaupoko nominated for National Award!

I am excited to announce that Hui o Ko’olaupoko is one of five national finalists for an award sponsored by Rain Bird which highlights the “intelligent use of water". Hui o Ko'olaupoko is being recognized of our work at the Kawainui Neighborhood Park: Kaha Garden. As you may know, the Kaha Garden project was initiated by our predecessor organization, the Kailua Bay Advisory Council, as a living example of how residential homeowners can use native and indigenous landscaping for water quality improvements. It was funded by EPA/Hawaii Department of Health, Clean Water Branch. Many thanks to our partners including the City and County of Honolulu Department Parks and Recreation, donors and the many community volunteers who help maintain the garden.
